Week of 12/11/23 - Digital fantasy fish with 3rd grade and value with 2nd grade - Part 2

3rd graders returned to complete their fish this week! Students colored in their fish, took a photo with their Chromebooks. They used the website remove.bg to upload the photo, remove their background (the paper) and superimpose the habitat they picked from their planning sheet the previous week. I also taught them how to download their final work and upload it to the art Google Classroom.

 

 2nd graders returned to add a warm color to their background and also create tints to fill in the shapes to complete their work. I read the story "Monochromatic Dan" by Allison Gharst - it is a fantastic story about Dan who like tints and shades of brown and his perspective on colors changes when he meets luminous Lil!
